A total solar eclipse will be taking place on August 21st, 2017 and Northeast Georgia has the only place in all of Georgia where you can see the eclipse in it’s totality offering over two minutes of total darkness.
We have partnered with the City of Clayton and will be offering a four day camping experience Friday, August 18th through Monday, August 21st.
We will be setting up a festival-style camping event behind Clayton City Hall with space for up to 125 tents and within walking distance to downtown Clayton. Spaces will be 15’x15′ and set up in rows. There will be a community fire pit, on-site security, a lantern lined path into downtown, and suggested itineraries full of local swimming holes, recommended hikes, and suggestions on the best places to eat, drink, and shop.
Portable toilets and sinks will be on-site. There will also be portable cold water showers on-hand.
The event is $50 a tent for the entire weekend (not per person; or day) and you are welcome to spend all 4 nights camping with us or just a couple of nights.
